Fast action, solid writing, snappy dialogue, and totally enjoyable.
Demons are emerging from the underworld to stake their claim on humanity. Battle lines are hastily drawn, ensnaring friends and foes in a fight for their lives. Unlikely heroes will emerge, some bravely volunteering to serve the cause, while others are forced into the fray. Torhan is of the latter. The human lad, accused of crimes he did not commit, must fight to clear his name. His journey is dangerous, fraught with possible death at every turn, but he is resourceful and skilled with a blade…but is it enough?
Epic battles and unimaginable creatures await the reader in the pages of this Fantasy Adventure, volume one. Evil, so venomous it strikes without care, is mercilessly wielded by the demons in a bid to enslave the human race. However, a battle cry of freedom stands in their way, as courage, honesty and loyalty will not easily be outdone. An array of characters lead by Blood Knights, Monks of the White Fist, and the Lord of the Mind, are anxiously engaged in a battle of wits and distilled strengths.
Demon’s Quest is packed with magic, swordplay, monsters and much more. Author Charles Carfagno Jr. has created a world akin to Dungeons and Dragons, a fanciful cosmos described with flare and unique penmanship for the most avid of fantasy fans.

Encouraged by a friend to read volume 1 of this series, I found myself, at first, bogged down in trying to remember all the names, places and circumstances. However, with pen and notepad nearby, I forged ahead and was soon caught-up in the lives of countless characters, who traversed a number of parallel plots. I had my favorites, enjoying the Red Knight and Torhan's storylines the most, but the others almost equally pulled me along. The story is set in a fantastic world of mythical creatures, absurdly evil villains and crafty humans. Although the plots are all someone separate in this first installment, I can see how the author is gradually weaving them together. The book does end somewhat abruptly, encouraging the reader to purchase the next volume -- not too unusual for the current trend in literature.I would have to say for a first attempt Mr. Cargango has done very well. The manuscript is almost completely free of typographical errors and the writing style is pleasing - kudos to this new author. The thing that captured my attention, above all else, was the writer's imagination. I thought some of the creatures, spells, and weapons were uniquely his own. They were well-described and aptly used throughout the story.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Fantasy and Adventure, but especially teens and young adult readers.

A Demon Quest The Beginning Of The End eBook Charles Carfagno Jr Mantas Butkus Reviews
Pros If you love action then this is the e-book for you! It’s a collection of three beginnings. First, a group of men, or rather an army, led by Gilex looking for the Circle of Demise for treasure. Next an actual army whose General is captured by an evil sorcerer and turned into a skeletal puppet. Last, martial artists of the Order training and escaping from death from the monster gang of a crime boss.
Each of the stories is filled with blood and gore with every step! The characters are tough and multi-dimensional and there are no loose ends. Each of the stories quickly take you to the end and make you itch to find out what happens next.
Cons The formatting on the e-book needs to be tightened up a little because one or two of the chapter titles show at the bottom of the page and then the chapter itself starts at the top of the next page.
When I saw the cover for A Demon’s Quest, I knew I had to read it. I mean, who wouldn’t like a book with a giant ant on the cover?
Synopsis (from the author) In a world, where monsters are running amok, demons are emerging from the underworld to stake their claim on humanity. Battle lines are hastily drawn, ensnaring friends and foes in a fight for their lives. Unlikely heroes will emerge, some bravely volunteering to serve the cause, while others are forced into the fray. Torhan is of the latter. What I liked Charles Carfagno, Jr. has created a unique world populated with humans, humanoids, and the aforementioned giant ants. The quest that each of the characters pursues are intertwined and allowed me a lot of speculation about how they would meet. The action was great, the fight scenes done well, and I liked the way the three groups - Blood Knights, Monks of the White Fist, and the Lord of the Mind started to evolve. I particularly enjoyed Torhan’s journey and the giant ants were great!
What I didn’t like For me, the stories were a bit disjointed. The book started well enough - with the quest for the Blood Knights - but then shifted away and the Blood Knights weren’t mentioned again. While I understand the three paths of the story, such an abrupt shift was a little confusing. I suspect the thread will be picked up again in the next book. Other than that, it was very good!
Overall impression Well-written, with unique characters and creatures, and a good blend of action and adventure, A Demon’s Quest was a nice fantasy read. I would recommend it to any fantasy fan!
My rating 4 Stars
I attached a photo of my favorite quote from book one. The end of book one does not sum up anything or answer any questions, so I strongly recommend you buy all three volumes. That being said, the read is amazing and I could not put it down. I love that it is a fast paced book with new characters constantly coming into play. It is far from boring and keeps me on my toes. One of the things I love about this book is how skillfully it is written. It is not full of useless text/banter/dialogue that a majority of modern books are filled with. This series has become my new obsession. It's like dungeons and dragons married Game of Thrones and this book (and the other volumes) are the baby they made.
As a female who is into sword fighting and other martial arts, I love that I can see myself in some of these characters. The fighting between the characters is extremely realistic and the development of them is amazing. I find myself very attached to them.
I will forever carry around the line "Just do your best and even if you fail, you have nothing to be ashamed of, because life is a lesson worth learning." I am personally going through heavy things in my life and it is the well written words of Charles Carfagno Jr. that I will carry around with me forever.
