Another smart, sexy contemporary romance from award-winning author Susan Sey--only with ghosts. Which is what happens when you kill characters you like. This is Will & Audrey's story. You should check it out.
She’ s in trouble…
Audrey Bing needs a hero, and desperately. But William Blake? Not a chance. He didn’t make the mess she’s in, but he definitely made it worse. And that brain of his? Pure, terrifying temptation. Unfortunately, Audrey’s in no position to refuse help. Not even from the most dangerous man she knows.
He is trouble…
William Blake is nobody’s hero. He does what it takes to protect his family, and doesn’t lose sleep over the collateral damage. Or didn’t used to. Not until Audrey blew up in his hands like a gorgeous stick of dynamite.
He’ll go to war for her…
Will can’t get Audrey out of his head. It’s not just the perfect face or those heart-stopping curves, either. It’s her wild, reckless courage. She has an impossible fight on her hands but she’s tackling it head-on, and Will respects the hell out of that. So if she needs his fists? She’ll have them. His heart, though? That’s a whole different fight.
…but can she win his heart?

Let me just say that I loved almost everything about this book but the end. I won't give it away, but I will say that it was really, really heavy on the supernatural. As a rule I don't really care for books about ghosts, however I can handle it as long as it doesn't get too in depth. Even though it wasn't scary, the ending reminded me a bit of the movie "The Exorcist". I feel like the book was going along great, even with the subtle imersion into the supernatural world, but the ending took away a little something for me.Aside from that, I loved it. I must admit to a soft spot for a hero that isn't perfect in the looks department. In addition to the not quite perfect looks, Will was a bit of a nerd who also had some alpha male in him, which made him an all around perfect hero for me! He and his brother Drew were hilarious, especially when dealing with Audrey's neice and they made me laugh out loud several times.
I also really liked Audrey, she was extremly protective of her niece and would do anything for her. The chemistry between her and Will was off the charts and I loved watching them dance around each other.
All of this being said, I would recommend this book and I will continue to read whatever Susan Sey writes as I feel she is an exceptional writer.

Talent for Trouble Blake Brothers #2 The Blake Brothers Trilogy edition by Susan Sey Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
So I first read Taste for Trouble and really fell in love with the Blake brothers. Susan Sey has a great knack for writing people who feel real and I loved the dialogue. All of that awesomeness carries into Talent for Trouble seamlessly and while I want to give Drew a big hug, I was most excited for Will's redemption. And since Audrey was a favorite of mine from the first book as well, I couldn't wait to see their relationship develop! I was not disappointed, it was amazing.
That being said, this is a pretty strong departure from the first novel in terms of the paranormal aspect. I admit I was a little scared to read it based on vague reviews but I'm so glad I did. I love a good ghost story and any kind of non-vampire/animal shifter paranormal romance so this was something I thoroughly enjoyed. If that isn't your thing, though, and you're looking for something more like a straightforward rom com, this may be a bit of a shock. I encourage you to read it anyway! Lots of humor in what could be a really dark theme and we get to meet the new girl Drew's mooning over. Love it!
Susan Sey’s second book in her Blake Brothers Trilogy takes the reader and family bad boy Will Blake on quite an emotional rollercoaster. Not only does her hero have to atone for his actions and his ill-treatment of the woman of his desires, Audrey Bing, but there’s a ghost that’s taken up residence in his head, making him question his own sanity at times. Add to the mix a child in emotional jeopardy and this contemporary takes a more serious turn than the previous book. The humor this time coming from the internal dialogue super genius Will has with Bob, his resident ghost, as well as the antics of Will’s younger brother, Drew, who can’t seem to meet a woman without falling in love.
This is not your typical, same as the last book in the series, book. It's far better.
If you love your romances with a bit of a paranormal twist, you’ll love this book. If you love a spunky heroine who faces the darkness of her own past to help those she loves, you’ll love this book. If you love a bad boy turned hero/protector, you’ll love this book.
Cannot wait to see what Ms. Sey has in store for the baby Blake brother!
After reading Jake and Belle's love story in Taste for Trouble Blake Brothers #1, I quickly purchased the next two books to find out how the other two brothers would find their love match. Book #2 tells the story of Will and Audrey. Will is a troubled soul, fresh out of rehab, who is extremely smart, but foolish in love. Audrey is carrying a burden in the package of her 8-year-old niece who needs protection, literally, from a possessive ghost who refuses to cross over into the light.
I must say, I have never read a romance novel that focused so much on the spirit world and psychic power (excluding those in that genre). And here, I'm not sure I appreciated it. The first half of the book, I was willing to go along with it, as there was more love story than ghost story. However, by the second half of the book, we were knee deep in a ghost story that involved seances, psychic ability, talks with dead people, and a possessed child.
By the book's climax, I had reached my fill of the ghost story and found myself skimming over those parts. I wanted the love story damn it! Thankfully, after the evil ghost was vanquished to the netherworld, we were returned for the final few pages to wrap up the love story with a happy ending.
I'm about to start Book #3, and I'm hoping it returns to a straight up love story with hot romance and both main characters firmly planted in this world and not the next.
Yes, the supernatural possession was unexpected, but it was beautifully written. I was engrossed and wanted more. But after finishing the book, I’m strangely unsatisfied. I felt I was left hanging, that the “real life” that should occur after the ghost(s) are banished never really happens. Maybe that will be in book 3?
Two minor quibbles page 156, “His biceps was under her pillow.” A person has one bicep on each arm. Either his bicep *was* or his biceps *were.* Furthermore, if his biceps were under her pillow, then both arms were under her pillow. From the sexual reactions that follow, one arm was definitely available for use.
The other quibble is on page 286, “Tapping at his widows…” I would normally expect that “windows” had been misspelled, but the imaginative language which Ms. Sey uses in this book made me stop and try to understand how “widow” could be correct. And I don’t like having to stop and figure out what the writer means.
Let me just say that I loved almost everything about this book but the end. I won't give it away, but I will say that it was really, really heavy on the supernatural. As a rule I don't really care for books about ghosts, however I can handle it as long as it doesn't get too in depth.
